Hi! My name is Carolina Aquino and I am a Licensed Massage Therapist /Educator, specializing in Prenatal/ Postpartum Massage and Medical Massage. I was born and raised in the Bronx and I also lived in Dominican Republic during the first three years of middle school then returned back to the Bronx and graduated from De Witt Clinton High School in 2007. I then graduated from The City College of New York in 2012, with a BA in Spanish literature and Secondary Education. After a year of teaching in Miami through City Year, I decided to go back to school to study Massage Therapy at the Swedish Institute. While I studied to become a massage therapist, I worked as a child care giver for a family of two children. After 2 years of attending school, in 2017 obtained my license and began to practice at various different locations including Equinox Spa, Aire Ancient Bath, Holistic Hands NYC, Red Moon Wellness, Sweet Water Dance and Yoga Studio.
I was so fascinated by the way in which a massage therapy can reduce pain and support our body's ability to heal itself when given the proper stimulation and environment.

In September 2020, I decided to open a private massage therapy practice in the Bronx, 718 Wellness, LLC.
I currently run this small business on my own. I provide an evidence-based massage practice with a holistic approach. I incorporate my background in education by teaching my clients self-massage techniques and stretches to do at home, after our session is done, if they’d like to know more ways to manage pain or discomfort. 718 Wellness is a safe space for everyone. I feel truly honored to be able to offer this service to my community.

I currently live alone in The Bronx, with my lovely plants. I enjoy crocheting and sometimes sell what I make. I look forward keep growing my network of health care providers and expand 718 Wellness into a center where you can find more holistic services.
