About the Provider
My experiences during my first pregnancy & childbirth that I navigated as a single parent from beginning to end, were transformative and led to my life’s calling. After giving birth to my daughter in 2013, I set out on a mission to change the narrative, emphasize & highlight the sacredness of parenthood, & build community, inclusive of all types of families. A graduate of Boston University, I am a passionate, radiant, feminine, Puerto Rican mother. Born, raised, & residing in NYC, I am a leader in my community, the founder of The Mothership NYC and Co-founder of The Harlem Doula Collective. I am also a Full-Spectrum Doula trained by Ancient Song Doula Services, Certified Lactation Counselor, & Placenta Specialist. I am currently the NY Regional Director for BelliBind.
I have an herbal healing collection of skin care products and teas, am an Evidence Based Birth® Childbirth Instructor, a trained Cannabis doula, Irth App Ambassador, have partnered with the DOH to bring free birth work to NYC, & is a birth justice advocate for awareness around maternal health disparities & equality in birth work. I love empowering families through out their journey to parenthood, navigating the ins and outs of systems and processes in the medical industrial complex, making sure families are heard and their needs are met. I teach a monthly class on breastfeeding, provides private childbirth education classes, and hosts MomWow - a free pregnancy / mom support group in NYC.
