About the Provider

I am a birth and postpartum doula that focuses on education, nourishment and the empowerment of advocacy. I believe every person deserves to have autonomy over their own birthing experience, this includes their birth team. My goal is for my clients to feel seen, heard, and empowered so they can have a dignified birth. I use a mixture of a evidence based, and holistic care in my practice to help parents transition from pregnancy to postpartum.

My interest in birth work peeked while I was in high school and working for a postpartum mama. She too was a birth doula, and often encouraged me to take a doula training. After lots of research I choose to train with Latham Thomas from Mama Glow in 2019. It was important to me that I learn from a BIPOC, as well as a curriculum where I would learn the history behind obstetric care, how our ancestors treated birth, and how to advocate for my clients, Mama glow provided just that.

After years of working with postpartum families I can say that birth work is definitely my calling. For the future, I hope to be the sister/ friend/ support person you can lean on during your transition into parenthood.
