My name is Vicky and this is a picture of me and my family. We are a loud and proud Puerto Rican family from Bushwick, Brooklyn. (Even though I’ll always be a Harlem gurl at heart lol ) I have over 10 years of experience in the education field/ childcare and am a trained Maternal Support Practitioner with Bebo Mia inc. I’m a huge coffee lover, Netflix bingeing, knitting, and scream-singing to random music, but what I truly love to do is talking & connecting with people through laughter, jokes, and life experiences, especially when it comes to parenting. My personal journey through pregnancy, birth and postpartum led me to my passion and drive for providing support to folks postpartum (cuz that shit can be rough sometimes).

After experiencing postpartum depression + anxiety myself, I know first hand what a difference having (or not having) support can have in those early months. Navigating a perinatal mood disorder with a very colicky baby left me feeling isolated and alone, and I had no choice but to become my own advocate. And now it is my mission to help as many parents as I can have a different experience than I did. So I'm here to say to any parent going through the not-so-fun parts of postpartum and are seeking support. You are not alone, and THERE IS SUPPORT. Even for those unable to afford it.
