My name is Wendy Cruz-Chan (She/Her/Ella), founder and owner of PlacentaNYC LLC™. A Indigenous Latina, born and raised in Brooklyn, NY. I have supported pregnant people as a professional Doula/Birthworker since 2014 through my established Doula services called, "Wendy's Doula Services". I provided families with the emotional and physical support they need in order to have a gentle birthing experience.

I fell in love with the process of Human Placentas when I learned of different cultures and countries, people can consume their placentas. I was fascinated to learn more on how it can benefit those recovering from birth. I became trained Placenta Encapsulation Specialist through International Placenta and Postpartum Association (IPPA) in 2015.

Continuing to study independently, to expand my ever growing knowledge of Human Placentas. My mission and passion is bringing awareness on how ancient placenta consumption can be incorporated into today's modern society. And regain my Indigenous practices as part of the sacred postpartum recovery.
